"Last morning..." is how my eldest, Elise, described anything in the past. Now, she's starting kindergarten and has no use for this phrase! I want to remember this, along with all of our stories, so I'm putting it here on Last Morning's Adventures. I hope you can either relate or get a laugh. :)

GGPs

You ever delete your entire blog post? Yeah, me neither!

For all of you babiesofthefamily, relax. My second child got some extra-special attention this week. Not only did she get to take a roadtrip with Mommy all by herself, but she also got to spend some time with all three great grandparents (or GGPs if you're a Gen Yer).

First stop: Honey and Tie's house (Gigi's Mommy and Daddy). We did a little back porch sitting, and Miss Evie thoroughly enjoyed sitting back and relaxing...
...and checking out Tie's gadgets (he even took her for a spin on the walker!!)...
...she showed off her mad jumping skillz...

...and her running until she falls down skillz...
...and her gardening skillz...
"Now, you see, Honey. If you pick it like this..."

"...then you can put it *back* like this..."
"...and you can hang these large ones on the bushes..."
Although the advice was well received, I'm pretty sure Honey already has her own techniques. I've been running circles around these rosebushes since I was Evie's age, and they've always been beautiful. I'm so happy to add this memory to the long list created by various collections of family and friends who have done some back porch sitting with Honey and Tie.
Next on the list was Mimi and Manney's house. Evie and Cousin Cal found their way into Mimi's heart...
...and vice versa...
A little related?

Max was a little disgusted with us for waiting to take pictures until *after* mega candy consumption and the naptimes had already passed...

The rest of us enjoyed ourselves though!!
Evie, what a wonderful gift you gave your GGPs! You too, Cal. It was a gift to me as well, just to watch the sheer joy exchanged between generations.

  1. Oh Jackie, these pictures are wonderful! I miss all of you terribly, I can't wait to meet Evie, Ella, and Cal! It's crazy how much Cal looks like John Lane in the picture with Mimi. I'm so glad that you guys got to share these memories =D
